Units required: Theracus, Venoc Warlord

When you need to get a few heroes across a board fast in some scenarios, consider carrying Venoc Warlord with Theracus. Venoc Warlord enhances Theracus with Scout Leadership, changing Theracus' flight from move 7 to move 9. Carrying Venoc Warlord means that even if Theracus bites it, you still have Venoc Warlord, with 6 life, move 7 and Slither, much farther along the battlefield. If you place them adjacent to Acorlarh in the beginning, the elf wizard gives them +2 to move in addition.

This let's the Venoc Warlord/Theracus combo get across 11 spaces of board (14 on road if Theracus doesn't fly) on the first turn!

This strategy is good for the following scenarios:
The castle scenario where the goal is to get hero reinforcements into the castle.
The Volcarren Stone scenario, or indeed any flag capture. Volcarren Stone especially, since the board is literally over six feet long!
One of the new online road scenarios (Ambush on Wolf Swamp Road), where the goal is to get two heroes to the exit zone. Again, even Theracus dies, at least, you have Venoc Warlord near the end. If he takes a few leaving engagement wounds, you will still likely get him off the board (into the exit zone) alive.

The combo can also be used for invading a castle or other high ground. Venoc Warlord is a powerful figure (attack 4, life 6) to have in enemy territory, attacking choice targets. Even as a sacrificial unit, he can clear the area up top, for instance, to make a landing zone for the Einar Imperium.
