pwning the Hulk...

So, one of my friends was in town for the weekend, and when it came time to game, I introduced him to Marvel HeroScape. (We used to both play a LOT of HeroClix.) Anyway...his 10 year old daughter and my 3 year old daughter were entertaining themselves with Bella Sara cards, but would occasionally check in on us to see "what we were doing". On one such occassion, I had just knocked out my friends Hulk...and his daughter cut in with "Dang dad, you just go pwned!!!" I don't think I laughed any harder all weekend...not only had I never heard the phrase "pwned" spoken aloud, to hear it coming from a 10 year old girl directed at her dad...that was priceless.

Ok...let's see...gameplay...after my little girl went to bed, we played a 3 player game with the basic game side of the cards, and with each character having 3 life...that actually worked out really well (one big hit would still take anyone out, but a flesh wound was survivable). The Hulk had his revenge, as he was the last one standing.

I chomped my friend's Hulk real early in the game with Grimnak before he even had a wound marker...brought a smile to my face

If you're fighting the hulk, you'd wanna take him out first. It all depends on the die outcome. One time someone rolled eleven attack die for the hulk and got no skulls! :neener:

I was fighitng the Hulk in a mixed game. My opponet launched the Hullk attempting to take out Red Skull. Suddenly he was swarmed by Gladitrons then Blastatrons shot at him, two of them had height. Due to bad order marker placement Hulk had no chance to retaliate. Dead in two turns with nobody lost.

"Pwned" is pronounced as if it rhymed with "coned"... "poned."

At least that is how it is supposed to be pronounced.

reminds me of the time I had an elevated DW 9000 and I rolled no defense dice

A whole big fray of fighting was going on. Some footsoldiers, with the Hulk and Cyprien in there. In comes my Braxas. Acid. Natural 20. Sippy Cup is down. Natural 20, there goes the Hulk. Failed on the ol' Venoc Warlord. Oh well.
