My wife and I just got a hold of GSN (that's the game show network for those who are uninitiated), and they spend a lot of time showing old games shows. Now, if you've ever watched those shows, you will notice that a lot of the prizes that are offered are considered to be garbage now. Like Cabinet TV sets that you'd have to pay someone to take out of your house now. Like olde tyme radios that aren't worth picking up off the street. Like old calculators that are so big and clunky, while doing only the most basic of functions. Good grief. I get the feeling that someday in the future, our kids (or grandkids...) will be watching old episodes of the price is right saying "IPods? what the heck?

What do we have right now that seems totally hot now, but you can see as being totally dated in ten years?

I am so pissed that Time Warner Cable pushed GSN into a sports/game package and I have to pay extra...I didn't cave and I especially miss the Match Game.

Hopefully we as consumers will be able to purchase only the channels we want.

I like how Michael Larson figured out how to scam the show.

He lost his winnings in bad real estate investments and I believe he had throat cancer which led to his death. He wasn't really that smart but figured out how to beat the game. CBS tried to stop him from collecting what was at that time the largest single game cash win but were unable to since he did nothing illegal.

Tube TVs, CD's, The Cars in our driveway. My wife would say our curtains, but I'm not taking them down ( that means we would have to buy new ones ). Our laptops and what is a tower for again?

No whammy, no whammy, no whammy...

Because we moved recently, Sasktel (our local Cable provider) gave us every channel in the universe for less than the price of the diminutive package that we wanted. How sweet. And cable is a scam.

Did anyone else hear about negative option billing? Where cable companies tacked on extra channels, and then charged you for them unless you called them and told them you didn't want them. Without letting you know that they were doing it. Scam.

Amen, brother. I used to fake sick so I could stay home and watch that.
