What are your favorite webcomics? Mine are Fanboys (http://www.fanboys-online.com/), Vg cats (http://vgcats.com/), and Marry Me (http://marrymemovie.com/).

Hey, I just got into Marry Me today! Very interesting story, fantastic art. My favorite list with the folder WEBCOMICS has the following in it:

Awkward Zombie (http://www.awkwardzombie.com/index.php) (an up-and-comer, and a fantastic comic for such a young person)
Ctrl+Alt+Del (http://www.ctrlaltdel-online.com/index.php) (funny stuff, and it has very funny characters)
F@NBOY$ (http://fanboys-online.com/index.php) (this guy never stops improving, always really works on the comics)
Marry Me (http://marrymemovie.com/main/) (as I said above, stuff)
Snafu Comics (http://www.snafu-comics.com/) (there are a few good ones here - I usually read Sticky Floors, FHKJHK, and Bleedman's current story)
Three Panel Soul (http://www.threepanelsoul.com/) (VERY clever stuff here, and great art)
VG Cats (http://www.vgcats.com/) (good stuffs, not much more to say)
xkcd (http://xkcd.com/) (thank the guys here for intruducing me, has a LOT of good, smart jokes)

There's a chain here - I heard about Bleedman, and went to Snafu from there. Snafu linked me to VGcats. VGCats had F@NBOY$ as a featured comic. F@NBOY$ gave me links to both Three Panel Soul and Awkward Zombie.

Did you too read the link to Marry Me in today's fanboys update?

My favorites are two Blank Label strips:

Schlock Mercenary (http://www.schlockmercenary.com/) A great sci-fi strip. The early art is pretty crude, but it steadily improves.
Starslip Crisis (http://www.starslipcrisis.com/) Can't count how many times I've laughed out loud at this one. Just now starting a big cross-over event.

The only web comic I read is Order of the Stick (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0001.html).

By far the most amusing and non-offensive webcomic I've enjoyed (and also niftiest art style) is:

Real Life by Greg Dean (a true gamer)

http://www.reallifecomics.com/

NecroBlade
August 30th, 2007, 11:43 PM
Ctrl-Alt-Del
Penny Arcade

but nothing beats Richard of Looking for Group (www.lfgcomic.com).

Wow, thanks for the tip Aldin. I've heard of Order of the Stick, so I just looked them up, but Erfworld is awesome! I've been catching up all morning. I like the longer, larger story type comics.

I just found a cool new webcomic/graphic novel:
Last Blood (http://www.lastblood.net/)

Ooh!

http://www.zeldacomic.net/!

Don't be turned away by the lack of 'funny' in the latest comics... Read from the beginning; It starts so-so, gets good, and then starts to taper off. :)

No Homestar Runner fans?

I love the homestar, haven't been there recently though.

The only thing I check daily is Explosm. I've always found Cyanide and Happiness to be hilarious. A lot of dark humor, but it's all pretty funny. Some strips even put me in stitches at times. The animated stuff is pretty decent as well.

I realize that this thread is old and dead, but the latest story arc in PvP really sold me as one of the best webcomics out there.

I seriously almost cried in today's PvP, a wonderful conclusion to a very well done story, the emotion that has been built up, the things Scratch Fury went through to get Skull back, and the lack of words in the final panel all showed true creativity and greatness.

I have a folder of comics I read daily

Questionable Content
Least I could Do
PVP
CAD
Penny Arcade
Shortpacked
F-Chords
LFG
You'll Have That

Though a few of them have made me lose interest in them lately, I keep hoping for the best.

Here's One I didn't see mentioned:
The Karnak Hates Everything Show. (http://bobandgeorge.com/karnak/index.php?comic=1)

It's a sprite comic, which will automatically write it off in some people's books, but it's very well done and routinely makes use of real photos and stuff. The humor is dark and random, and every few months Karnak has what he calls Alienate the Readers Week. Don't read if you're easily insulted. It's pretty much defunct now, which makes PK a sad panda.

Another one is Slackerz (http://theslackerz.com/index.php?Page=1). They have ridiculously long comics, a good thing in my opinion. It's mostly stick figures, which makes the silly things they go through even more funny. Also, it routinely denies being a gaming comic, but has game-related comics about every fourth one.

Lackadaisy (http://lackadaisy.foxprints.com/comic.php?comicid=1). It's set in America, circa 1920. The prohibition is just kicking in, and speakeasies are popping up all over the place. This comic tells the story of the owner of one of these secret taverns, whose husband died, leaving her a dying buisness. The twist? They're all anthropomorphic cats. Yeah. Don't be fooled, the art is fantastic, some of the best I've ever seen. It's pretty short so far, and sparsely updated, but it's worth it.

The Zombie Hunters (http://www.thezombiehunters.com/index.php?strip_id=1). A well-drawn story about zombie hunters in a post-zombopacalypse world. It's pretty good, though far from my favorite.

And one I'm astounded hasn't already been posted here is the Adventures of Dr. McNinja (http://drmcninja.com/index.html). This is by far one of my favorite comics, about the adventures of a ninja who also happens to be a doctor. He was trained by a clone of Benjamin Franklin, his secretary is a sign-language speaking gorilla named Judy, and he has a sidekick named Gordito, who is a 14-year-old boy who grew a long and luxurious mustache through sheer force of will. Together they fight people suffering from Paul Bunyan's disease, which transforms them into giant lumberjacks, Ronald McDonald, Pirates, punks with drug-induced ninja skills, Hans Frayner, and Dracula. Oh, yes.

Most of the web comics I started reading were because of this site:

Order of the Stick
Ctrl+Alt+Del
Looking for Group
Penny Arcade

I will definately have to look up some of the other recomendations in this thread.

And Roland, good job on the search/Necropost!!!

Also: Moved to Comics.

Has no one mentioned Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal (http://smbc-comics.com)?
That is a crime!

Explosm, xkcd, SMBC, and CTRL-ALT-DEL. LFG is great, and so is Hello Cthulhu. Kindergoth is adorable, and I miss the Faust webcomic I found, read about 100 of, then lost :(

I've just read some of the Looking For Group comics, and I'm hooked on them. Very funny, especially Richard and Hctib. The part about Hctib's name makes me laugh every time.

I thought I'd refresh this to share some new Webcomics I found recently.

Housepets! (http://www.housepetscomic.com) is a cute little comic about a dog and a cat that reminds me very much of Calvin and Hobbes. That's all the praise it needs, methinks. Good art, funny humor.

Kevin & Kell (http://www.kevinandkell.com) is very long running; since 1996, making it the longest-running webcomisc I've ever seen. Anyway, in this comic, the internet is really making a mark on people, especially Kevin, a rabbit, and Kell, a wolf. What can I say? I love animal characters. Anyway, they find their way past the natural boundaries (predator & prey) to find love and start a family. This comic is of such consistent quality I wonder why I've never seen it in a newspaper.

Girl Genius (http://www.girlgeniusonline.com): I don't know why I never saw this before. Pure steampunkery, mad science, and giant laser guns. Awesome storyline, great art. Phil Foglio is a genius. Dare I say, a mad genius? A girl named Agatha Clay finds herself possessing the Spark, a mutantion that makes her, in effect, a mad scientist. She's the very last of her kind, and all of alternate-universe Europe either wants to control her or see her dead.

Chainsawsuit (http://www.chainsawsuit.com)is pure and utter randomness. There's really no other words to describe such a state of beautiful insanity. Read it.

Garfield minus Garfield (http://garfieldminusgarfield.net). Here's the premise: take Garfield comic strips, and remove Garfield. It works. Very well. The strips come off as either completely random, or showcasing a certain Jon Arbuckle's losing battle against depression, and finally, insanity.

I hope you'll find something new to laugh at. If I find any more, I'll bring them here.

I know, that's why I love that one! It's either completely random or hilariously pessimistic.

Sorry for reviving this but I was wondering

I really like both Looking for Group and Least I Could Do, by Ryan Sohmer

Does he have any more webcomics? Or are there any more similer?

http://www.axecop.com/

Axe Cop is written by a five year old but drawn by his thirty something dad. The strip fabricates, in a deliberately crude fashion, all the trappings of a mainstream monthly - splash panels, continuity, etc. In fact, I've introduced it to students and friends as a great bridge into the signature tropes of the genre. With a few ounces more contrivance, Axe Cop could easily become the next Micahel Bay franchise.
