I recently watched a "Beowulf & Grendel" movie that inspired these:
Beowulf is fine tuned for legendary monster butt kickin'! Only problem is that sometimes his sword let's him down...
In case you are unaware many of the mythological beasts in HS are from Feylund and all the Dragons are from Icaria.
The miniature is "Rohirim Royal Guard" from LoTR miniatures game....the armor fits the time period nicely (ironically Tolkein was strongly influenced by Beowulf)

Grendel is a human/troll half-breed that loves man-flesh and likes to hold grudges. Incidentally, he is from Feylund.

Ever since this D&D Phoenix figure came out recently I've been wanting to do a custom for it. The main special is based on the Phoenix from the Disney Narnia movie when he swoops down to create a wall of flame to block the advancing White Witch's army.
Thanks to Annerios I have updated the wording....

This is the Treebeard figure from SaberTooth's LoTR miniatures game. I tried to translate the carry special from that game into HS as closely as possible:

Cool cards. The slide show is a nice look. How many figures are included in a Tusken Raider card?

I agree, the cards are pretty cool. Are you looking for feedback on them? I have some quick suggestions that might help a few of them. Mostly wording and stuff.

Nice cards.
I have two of those figures in my "someday I'm gonna make a card" pile.
Maybe I'll just borrow your cards...

Nice work. I'm making my own figure form that D&D Elemental Wall figure....nice to see two people take the same figure and end up with different takes on the concept. The fun of customizing.

From LotR minatures game that is sadly no longer in production. Perfect scale for HS.

Very nice implementation of this mythological creature.
Here is a stab at the wording:
Wall of Flame
Instead of attacking, you may choose up to 3 spaces over which Phoera moved for the Wall of Flame. If the chosen spaces contain a figure, roll two attack dice for each affected figure. Affected figures cannot roll any defense dice. If a chosen space is empty, place a Fire Marker on the space and use the Destructible Object Rules for Fire.
This creature could be a real terror if it flies through the spaces in front of the castle gate or over a key bridge. Those flames will really keep enemies at bay. You would definitely want to counter-draft with some fire resistant creatures. You may want to consider placing a cap on how many fire markers the figure can generate for the sake of economics (those markers are not cheap) and to keep its power reasonable. If this thing is well protected, it could lay 9 fire markers in one round. That is a lot of flame.
Rise from the Ashes
After Phoera is destroyed, if you have at least 1 figure on the battlefield, roll the 20-sided die at the end of each round. If you roll a 15 or higher, place Phoera on an empty space that is not adjacent to a figure or glyph.
I added a little bit in there restricting adjacency to figures and glyphs to keep it fair.
In terms of points, I am not sure. This creature is not very strong in stats; only about as powerful as a single Gladiatron (although it flies). With only 1 life, it could be out of the game for a long time until you roll a 15 or higher. What it does is unlike the powers of other HS figures and can be used to interesting advantage (blocking glyphs from access, etc.)
This character definitely needs some playtesting, but I like it. I was thinking about making a wall of flame type of spell for a sorcerer using the fire markers. That power seems like it will work well.

u might want to add that Phoera cant start a fire on a water, snow or ice space. just thinking logically.

That is a classic hero I had forgotten about. Great choice for HS, since he slays monsters and dragons.
I have not seen that movie yet, but I heard there is another adaptation coming Nov 2007 from Robert Zemeckis.
Any reason why the Legend power does not affect units from Earth? Humans would probably know him best and fear him; although, I can see you limiting his power to only creatures and Dragons as is.
The points assignment looks good. He has one less life than Alistair McDirk, but one more defense. His abilities can be useful, but are kept in check by some limitations.
Where is the figure on the card from? Any playtest reports?

Added a little bit of explanation text before the card in first post...
Figure is "Rohirim Royal Guard" from LoTR miniatures game. I chose to highlight that his legendary status comes from battling legendary creatures rather than men.
Playtesting soon!....

Beowulf is good stuff, Eye! He's really simple, yet very powerful. Also high-five on coming up with a new way to get an attack boost attacking certain figures, all while using that untapped basic card side. That's good stuff. Great looking fig, too.

Yeah, I never quite understood why with all the possible Greek era helmets (http://www.redrampant.com/ancients/greekhelm.html) they would choose the petasus style?
Although even with this mod they are not truly Spartans...i do thing they look more impressive on the map.

These are cool, especially Treebeard. However, Beowolf's Enchanted Sword might better say "Before attacking, roll the d20..."
AWESOME STUFF THO
