Online Personality.

Well, I searched, I'm pretty sure I had this topic, but oh well.
Anyway, we all have a somewhat diferenet persona online then we do in real life. My online person currently has a huge crush on T.F. and has plans to make some more moves there, is insain, wants to be a mod, and is pretty random.

My real life personalty is not like that.
...that much.

So anyway talk about your online persona.

I don't know that my on-line personality is that much different from my real life one, except that on-line I'm not as involved with my wife and family.

I am thinner on-line, and exercise more, and don't go to work as much; but other than that, just about the same.

Oh, I have more hair on-line, too. But then, I have more hair on the telephone too.

i'm pretty much the same online or in person. i've always liked to have fun, and i think my sense of humor shows in some of my posts. i try to be polite, but in real life i have do a potty mouth. :(
to be perfectly honest, the only difference about my online personality is that i like the attention i get online better than in person. i'm new to the game but everyone here has been nice and now i can openly admit that i'm addicted to collecting heroscape figures and not be judged by my girlfriends that "just wouldn't understand".

Sailor Sol was a created persona for my Sailor Moon fan fic, thats still online at:

You can read (most) of my Sailor SoL fan fic there. The reasion he poped in at an off time for the time loop presented here was that Sailor SoL was always weeveing in and out of my exantance.

DigEm, Dig-Doug, Dig-Dug, Dig-It, and several other Dig names were names I took and the "Dig" part I asked friends to take, I got Dig-Sean to do this, and once got my freind to be Dig-It. Naka was an online romance that I had for almost 2 years before it ended. I do not want to go into it more.

ummeinosol was / is my aim name that I got wayy back about the time of other life things that were going on , "Destiny of SoL" Again to reflect that my online persona was connected to my stories and my stories to me. If you read my "history of you on the net" you will understand this better.

I've indeed held a converastion withmyself on line, and had as meny as 4 computers back in the days when I was at my schools computer lab- going at the same time with difernt personas of me talking to people. That was the "Dig" days.
Sherry Kees or well, however her name is spelled, was a great friend I had in acting class, and a growing up experance.

My online personas basicly are evolved from things that happened in the real world and visa versia. In the real world I take parts of people's personalys and make them my own, so that I can have all these difernt personalitys to draw on and use to the best way I want. For UltraDoug he is an evolving persona that changes from moment to moment. At times quiet and at times extramly not quiet. I can be serous or very random, I can just kneee jerk reaction and hit pannic mode and almost self destruct myself or others, but over time I've learned how to handle these online reactions. I've had to re-live some of my old net days as I have begin to chat and post more, these borards have become a new mIRC chat and I am facing things I had to face before, I did not always know how to deal with them then, and I still do not now. But I am learning.

I used to analise my friends or whoever wanted in real life and sum up there personalitys or whatever.



I have edited out the coolness of me analising people because I might have to re-do that again... so hey if you want me 2 do that post away! LOL.

Online Grishnakh actualy persents two very difernent persons, we see one manafest itself as a drunken Org that can not speek human talk too well.

The other Grishnakh is well spoken and offers a wide knowalge on a vast number of topics.

Both Grishnakhs have a nice side and a smash side to them, I belive the crossover here would be with the smart/nice/smash sides.

Sertenly alot of effort has been put into the persona of Grishnakh.
One wonders what would happen if the smart and org-like Grishnakh incountered each other.

Obviously, like a lot of people, I say things online that I wouldnt say in real life. I like the opportunity to "go mad" online, which I wouldnt do normally.

My first experiences online (which were on another site, not this one) were very amusing for myself and this other person (never knew who he was outside of his username) but, I reckon, very distressing for the people we talked to. I even had one person say that if he ever found out where I lived, he would be round with his mates to do me some VERY EXTREME nastiness, to put it lightly. :shock:

haling from England, robaula expersses himself in a fun/mild maner, he has great immagenation as can be seen in his photo story, and has an inquistive mind. Seem that Gambit had some history wiht robula in interducing him to ultradoug, the true story of that remains unknown, but insantly robula asked for an avatar and stuff, and became a POTPU before you know it, joining the rank of army that ultradoug has and stuff. what a nice guy.

UD posts alot, and, if some people are to be believed, has several Heroscapers-split-personalities. It is rumoured that over 98% of the members of Heroscapers are in fact UD. In fact, it is rumoured that if UD's computer broke and he never went on the internet again, every single website across the world with forums would grind to a stand still, with hardly any posts ever being made again.
UD is at heart a kind soul, always ready to help out complete strangers in need, having created avatars for many people, and assisted Robaula in doing some backgrounds for his photo story.
UD has a strange and maybe unhealthy affection for Taelord.
Oh, and UD has posted a few small-time movies on the 'net, but not many people know about those 8)

Well, I think I'm a much happier person online than IRL...at the moment. I get to be intelectual or completely insane at a moment's notice without anyone running away or calling the men-in-white-coats. I love to discuss pretty much anything with anyone who is willing to discuss it.

In real life, I recently went from being a devoted husband and father of 4 kids, to a divorced, broke, homeless, jobless, friendless, hopeless, loser who lives with his mom. :(
I used to have a family, friends, a job, a home,...a life. NOW, I have the internet.

Agree with you - I say and act in ways online that I wouldnt act in real life. I reckon that peoples inner personalities come out online, and sometimes (not all the time, mind) you can get a truer idea of what a person is like by talking to them online rather than in person. Thats my opinion.. I spend more time in real life than online thinking "damn, I should have said this, or I should have said that..." whereas like you said, online you can plan your words and what you are going to say.
I met my (then to be) wife online before I met her in real life, and I reckon if I had first met her in real life, then we probably would not be together still now.
Words flow more fluidly from my brain directly to my fingers rather than from my brain to my mouth, so I guess that if I want the best of both worlds I should walk around in real life with a small wordprocessor!! :D
