I am an Extension Junkie. On my computer at home I have nearly 50 extensions installed. I have my Firefox fine tuned to run the way I want it.

When I get home I will post a list of all the extensions I use.

A Quick Top 5 list would be
5. StumbleUpon
4. Foxy Tunes
3. Tab Mix Plus
2. Adblock
1. All-In-One Sidebar

Does anyone else have any extensions they like a lot?

I have used FF for some time now and have not gotten very far in its potential. I would be very interested and most grateful if you could point me in the direction of some cool stuff.

Looking forward to more!

I am all about having as much real estate on the screen for website to be viewed. I am a minialist, in a maximumist sort of way. I like having lots of features but I like to have as much screen space as possible. This one makes 2 buttons into 1 button.

Stop-Or-Reload Button (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/313/)

It combines the stop and the reload buttons into one button. Its a stop button when you can stop a page and its a reload button when you can reload a page. Its pretty neat.

I like having all kinds of new functionability as well. Here is a nice one.

Save Image in Folder (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/614/)

This one adds an option when you right click on an image; "Save image in folder" It lets you define folders to save images into. Then you just right click, choose the folder you want to save it in, and it saves. No save box opens or anything, it just saves it. It comes in very handy.

Mouseless Browsing (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/879/)

https://addons.mozilla.org/images/previews/mouseless_browsing-1.jpg

This is a rather cool extension. Most of the time when I am browsing at home I don't use my mouse. I like to consider myself a Keyboard Samurai, I use keyboard shortcuts for most everything. When browsing the internet its really annyoing to hit the Tab key a bunch of times to get to the link I want, this extension assigns a number to every link, even text boxes. You use the number pad to type in the number, hit enter. In the case of text boxes it puts the focus on it, in the case of links its like clicking the link. I love this...

There is a better format for the numbers if you don't want it to mess up the formatting of some pages.

In the extention's preferences change the "Style for id span" to:
---
margin-left:-0.5em; padding:0; z-index:500; font-size:xx-small; font-family:sans-serif; border-color:grey; border-width:1px; border-style:solid; background-color:white; color:blue; position:absolute; padding:0;
----
and the Style for frame id span to:
----
z-index:500; font-size:xx-small; font-family:sans-serif; background-color:blue; border-color:black; border-width:1px; border-style:solid; padding:0; position:absolute; top:0; left:0; color:white;
-----

These settings work great for the boards here without messing up the format. Just copy and paste that into the setting box. Good stuff.

This is a great thread.

StumbleUpon (available here (http://www.stumbleupon.com)) is one of the coolest extensions ever. For those who aren't familiar with StumbleUpon, it recommends websites according to the sites you visit and enjoy. Just click 'I like it!' and you've just added more info to the search engine. It's sort of like flipping through the channels on TV except all of the channels are sites that you might enjoy.

Thanks Nether. I'll be checking out most of these extensions.

Nice suggestions, I'll have to try some of those out. Funny thing is that I switch between Firefox and Safari and I'd never noticed the FF has separate buttons for stop and reload, Safari has them combined.

I have FoxyTunes, StumbleUpon, Greasemonkey, and DownThemAll. I've never used DTA, because I don't really download enough (i forget why I downloaded that one in the first place), and now that we have a quick reply here, I don't need Greasemonkey.

I also have a myspace toolbar that I use a lot. I can't tell you the last time I logged onto my myspace account from my laptop.

I recently installed StumbleUpon and FoxyTunes, good stuff. I've had this ImageShack toolbar on forever, that really comes in handy when I need to upload images, that's about all I use it for but it makes it hellaeasy.

There's also the ImageShack Firefox Extension, which lets you just right click and upload images to imageshack, I've never found much use for it, cause you can always just copy the image code, but I still have it installed, haha.

Both of those, in addition to many other things can be found there if you're interested.
