Hello all! While entering into Spider_Poison's contest of heroscape fantasy draft for the Gencon tournament I began to wonder about how we could have a fantasy heroscape game similar to fantasy football using the actual heroscape figures instead of players. Unfortunately this will not be a contest as there will be no prize except the fame and glory of winning (need you more?).
I have made 24 heroscape armies, 500 pt total, each army being competetive and having a variety of heroes and commons in each. The heroes are never used once, although some squads are used in a couple different armies. We will conduct a draft where people will submit their list of heroes (draftable) up to 500 pts, just like how you would pick your fantasy team of football players. I will make a schedule that will be followed and after each game I will give the statistics. No army will face the same army twice during the regular season. Obviously 2 armies may have to face off in the playoffs/championship even though they have fought each other already.
The scoring will be based on points of damage inflicted during any given match the hero in question is involved in. A hero will recieve points for woudns inflicted and figures destroyed. For example if Q9 destroys a deathreaver he will recieve 10 points, if he inflicts a wound on Raelin, he will recieve 16 points, since 1 wound is equal to 16 points. if Q9 completely destroys Raelin he will recieve the full 80 points obviously. A figure will also get his point worth at the end of the game. So Q9 with full health will get more points than Q9 with 1 life at the end of the game.
I will not enter the game, as that would be unfair. I will be running each game and playing each game, and I will record the statistics after each game.
I would like to have some input on what everyone thinks and what everyone thinks should be done. When I post the army lists and list of heroes available to draft I would also like some feedback as this is supposed to be a fun game for anyone to play.

-Picks must be submitted in a concise manner in the separate thread designated for picks. That thread is only for picks. Once submitted, picks cannot be edited. Edited postings in the pick thread will be disqualified from the contest. This thread is for everything else regarding the contest including questions and discussion of the contest.
-You may select only from the list of Heroscape figures that are confirmed in the other Fantasy Heroscape Draft thread. Please use their names as they appear in that list.
-Improperly submitted entries will be disqualified.
-Ties for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, though unlikely, will be decided by a random 20-sided die roll.
The number of times a Heroscape figure is picked results in a lower share of points because the points will be divided equally between all who picked that figure. For example: 20 people select Q9 for their fantasy team. Q9 ends up getting x amount of points. If you selected him, you would receive x divided by 20 points for that pick. The number of times a figure has been picked lowers their value. So choose wisely!
The armies that are listed by me will be the ones fighting each other, and not the individual person "fantasy army". For the schedule leading up to the championship and everything, scoring for the regular 500 pt armies will be run the same as the Western PA tournaments are run, with ranking according to wins, with pt differentials being the tie-breaker. The schedule itself will be random making sure no army plays another army twice during the season.
Other than the obvious differences the game will be run similar to how Spider_Poison is running his heroscape fantasy contest.
