Chapter 1 - Living Nightmares
The creature crawled from a deep abyss, carved into it's body many wounds and battle marks. Yet it is almost invunlerable to anything. Sword blades, bullets, deadly bombs. It rose from the deep cave in the ground, and stared into the eyes of the Valkyrie General. Jandar turned to face it, the sheer horror on his face, and....
...he woke up. He sweated from his brow, and his beard was damp. It was just a mear nightmare. But it seemed much more.
'I must warn my comrades immediatley,' he said. He picked up the Spear of Jandar from his bedside, and rushed down a corridor lit by a torch of flame.
Utgar was ready for action. The war had now lasted about one hundred years, and now it could come to an end with the vision he had just received. He walked through an archway, and walked over to the edge of a battlement. His specially designed fortress lay on the side of an active volcano. Lava spewed at the base of the castle, made of special rock mined not far from the location. It stood tall on Revdrakk Island, his base and kingdom, where he sought out to take over the mighty wellsprings, which would give him power and riches no creature could ever imagine.
He then turned his head to see a Heavy Grut, who should be on duty, but instead lay dreaming of himself as a General. Utgar picked up the pathetic warrior by his skull, and called over to a Heavy Grut guarding the over side of the castle walls.
'You, soldier! Get here now. We have a matter to discuss!' He held the Heavy Grut out to the edge of the walls. It was a long drop down from there, if Utgar were to let go. The other Grut saluted to Utgar as he stood by him.
'Heavy Grut Kralk reporting to his Mighty Ruler Utgar the Ferocious. What plasure can I do for you sire,' he said in the snarling orc accent.
Utgar, still holding the orc out to the great height of the volcano, leaned closer to Kralk.
'Listen Kralk. I have had a vision of a creature more powerful than you or I could ever hope to be. More powerful than all of the creatures in my army put together, in fact. But we need a special item to receive him from this dark and dreadful planet. Take 150 Orcs and Zombies, and take them through Kinsland and Bleekwoode, until you reach a small fortress in Northern Braunglayde. There will be about fourscore of elves. Kill them, and take something which looks like this,' and out of his free hand he pulled a vile, filled with a shining blue liquid.
'But Mighty One, you already have about 200 or so left. That could summon 10,000 Grut Orcs at the least. And it would be easier sailing to Braunglayde and then dispatching from there.
'Yes, Kralk, I know. But I told you this creature is powerful than my entire army. That small fortress holds another 100 or more, so I need them all back here. Then I might have a good chance at summoning this creature. If that fails, we will raid more forts of their teleportation matter. Now go. Destroy the fort and bring back the matter.'
Kralk turned and ran towards the castle.
'Oh, and Kralk?'
'Yes, oh Mightiness?'
'And tell them if I catch any more of any warriors sleeping on the job,' and then he let go of the unfortunate orc, who fell to his death from the height of the volcano or the heat of the pouring lava, ' they will suffer like him.'
