Hey, I was just thinking about this wonderful board creation program and got to thinking,........ there's a lot of new terrain types coming out. I already love creating maps with the terrain I currently own, but i know that I'm going to want the same feel and reality of creating maps with all terrain types going to be released, (or already released for Marvelscape?)

Has anyone heard about any program upgrades that will be inclusive of all this wonderful terrain we'll be getting :?:

Except for the odd-shaped 'base' for the MarvelScape break-through wall scenery piece, new scenery pieces, and tiles-with-scenery like the Ticalli Forest tiles, you can add 'personal' tiles to VirtualScape; you just need to make up top and side images for the new tiles and then put them in under your personal tiles. Which will get you through the release of SoTM (except for the 'Marrow Hive' scenery piece). I'm sure that Zzzzz will get to adding support for the new tiles and scenery as his schedule -- and the availability of the new components to work from -- permits.

Yeah, I figured, (since at this point I haven't used them), that the personal custom tiles would suffice as new terrain. I was just curious to see if there were any intentions on creating the upcoming terrain. I know that snow was created, but I think the program was released around the same time as TT, so it may not have been that difficult.

I'd love to see the new terrain though, if there are plans in the making!

I used the personal tiles srmalloy provided in the Virtualscape thread for the asphalt and concrete and they worked very well.

It would be cool to zoom around a VS jungle board full of trees, though. I'm looking forward to seeing what Zzzzz has a chance to add in the future.

I'd consider this a question that deals somewhat with the same thing as alot of people upload there VS maps. In the much appreciated downloads section on this site, will there be new sections for both Marvelscape and the upcoming Swarm of the Marro set added? I personally am still not a great map maker and have used these downloads a great deal. I am looking forward to the Swarm set, have two preordered, and am hoping to be able to get maps to play to help me out. Thanks.

Hi,

I'm the virtualscape creator and of course I will add marvel tile into a next release. The marvel set is not already available in france (or I don't saw it) so it's hard to do perfect without the original tile but I will try with all the informations that I get. Just let me ending my holydays and I will continu to upgrade virtualscape.

:google:

Look at:

1) the second thread in this forum, the one titled VirtualScape 1.037 available.
2) Zzzzz's signature.

Just in case that isn't possible, here you go:

http://didier.paradis.free.fr/virtualscape/english/

Click on "Download" to the left. Then click on "English". If you click on "French" you will not download the English version.

Here's your answer: I had that problem too.

Right-Click the Zip folder and look for "extract all."

When you do this, you will get a program wizard helping you to install it.

Then VS will be in English.

If you don't extract it, it will not work properly, and you will get French.

Does it really matter about updates? The software is completely useless and a waste of time. At least from a Mac Users perspective.

But they have no taste anyway, so what's the point of listening to them?

Or maybe I'll just use the boyfriends computer. At least it isn't running Vista (shiver)

I know I'm probably in the wrong thread to ask this but how do you post maps that you have made on virtualscape on heroscapers?

I know I'm probably in the wrong thread to ask this but how do you post maps that you have made on virtualscape on heroscapers?Do you want to post a picture of the map or the building instructions?

To post a picture, save the screen shot as a JPG, upload it to a hosting site and post the image like you would any other.

If you want to post the building instructions, create an account in the Downloads (http://heroscapers.com/download) section (yes, you need to create a seperate account, but you can use your same screen name). Save the file as either an HSC or print it as a PDF (the how to on this has been posted ad infunitum..search for it...hint PDF virtualscape). Upload the saved file to the Downloads section and wait for it to be approved.

I've even considered Vitrual Windows on my Mac just for this program.
