I have recently went through a job change and a computer change at home (hard drive died).
anyway, The problem being all of my custom cards are gone. :(
This includes
Truth's super hero cards
Euyrons cool "Ash' card
My Warhammer 40 K cards Tau and Space Marines
My Star Wars Cards (lots of them!!!)
Is there any way at all that I could get them from HQ? I can get with Truth about the SH cards, but my cards are gone.. :(
If there is anyway to salvage these I would be grateful, big time.

Consider youself lucky that you lost things that other people likely have to pass along to you.
A couple of months ago, my hard-drive crashed and I lost ALL of my custom unit templates. I am still working on rebuilding my old custom units' cards. I also lost many other custom creations of mine that no one else had...
So your situation, while bad, could have been a lot worse. :P

Well. I actually lost quite a bit more.. but no one here can help.
I lost 3 games that I wrote, a ton of scnerios, artwork for some future items. Software that I can't replace, etc. etc..
What was funny about the whole thing is that I was picking up a notebook, and I was going to transfer the info from it to the notebook, and then burn the stuff out on some Cd's...
well, I was to late.
I was more worried about my other stuff on there then my HS stuff. I was thinking it was at HQ.. well, gues what. :) lol

BC, good news on the campaign and the RE generator - they're in the Codex. So I've got original copies of both. I'll email them to you tonight, if I remember.

B_C, Truth sent me his supes a while back. I have those if you want them.
I lost my hard drive on my first computer to the Cherynobl virus waaaay back about 6 years ago. I had been D/Ling games and computer themes, and desktops like a madman.
Woke up on April 26 (I think) and there was the message: "No OS found".
Sorry to hear you bad news. Let me know if I can help.

well, to post something different -
what do you mean, the hard drive "died"?
If it just won't boot up, there are other ways to access the datas.
Even if the HD did a rare complete failure and won't access any of the data on it, maybe you know a comp tech that does low-level data access?

yeah that too... essh.
-------
Reaper, I did not get the no OS found. It just wouldn't do anything. It just won't read the drives. I am not sure what the deal is. I am not going to toss them out. I did get another computer, but it is a notebook. I do intend on trying to get the data off of it sooner or later. I am thinking that they just got fried. If you saw my set up, you would understand. I cobbled it all together. :) It is my own fault really, but I was going to transfer everything... Just to late...

total HD failure isn't all that rare. Sometimes they just stop spinning. On occasion you can swap the board from the dead drive and use one from a live drive that will resurrect it. Depends on your parts availability and time.
B_C, I may be able to pull some stuff, I think I have quite a few files from hq on my other computer. But I'm going to be gone until July 5th (6th really) so I'll let you know after that.

OUCH! I am so terrifeid of loosing Data that I have gone overboard. Once a month I back up everything on my laptop to a external HD which is kept if a fire resistant lock box. I also copy the data to a Slave Drive in the PC. I keep a copy on my Ipod, and I burn it to 3 DVDs. (2 sets) One I carry with me and one I keep off site.
And once a year Everything is put onto DVD and put in the Safety Deposit Box. I am more concerend abotu the pictures of my kids than anything else.
The 4 DVDs of MP3s are storec off site as well.
