Ok so im gonna try this let me know if you like/dislike or think this is a waste of time.

Building on a budget.
every two weeks i will show how to make heroscape terrain for as cheap as possable.

Lesson one: grave yard.
Materials.
Cardboard or glyph hex.
paints (black, slate grey, light green.)
paint brushes.
white glue.
supper glue.
cutting shears.
knife.
green flock.
the last item on the list is a lamp cord protector. if you go to a store such as Target. you can find them on some of the lamps. these are packaging protectors that the store left on. remember to ask a manager before taking them. the less you ask for the more likely you are to get them.

first cut some card board into a easy size.
http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w139/trumpeter1803/sampictures279.jpg
next cut into a two hex shape.
http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w139/trumpeter1803/sampictures280.jpg
http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w139/trumpeter1803/sampictures281.jpg
next put on some supper glue then a little white glue.(if using a hex place cap on hex then apply supper glue, no white glue need'd)
http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w139/trumpeter1803/sampictures288.jpg
put cap into glue and move aroud a little bit to get glue on all of the bottem.
http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w139/trumpeter1803/sampictures289.jpg
set aside and let dry untill white glue is clear.
http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w139/trumpeter1803/sampictures282.jpg
paint the head stone grey and the base green.
http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w139/trumpeter1803/sampictures286.jpg
set aside till its dry
http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w139/trumpeter1803/sampictures287.jpg
paint a rune on the head stone(you can use a marker)
http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w139/trumpeter1803/sampictures291.jpg
for those using a glyph as the base a good dark wash will help the grave marker pop out and look fantastic)
flock the base
http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w139/trumpeter1803/sampictures290.jpg
last step have fun

hope you liked my first budget customs.

Good job. I like the idea for designing things for cheap, but one little suggestion, make the pics smaller so they fit in the window. It's annoying to have to scroll to the side to see the entire picture. Also it might be helpful to show the prices for the things most people don't have lying around the house, i.e. flock, lamp cord protectors (though those seem free)...

Nicely done. It would look better on grass though. *cough cough*

you should paint the bottom pads brown like dirt and also maybe make it look dug up, that would add a nice touch. ;)

I think it looks cool but it would look better if you painted the tomb stone to look older.:)

yah maybe with little knotches along the sides? or moss? that would improve the creepy feel. :)

thank you all for the sugetsions.

Hi1
I dont know how to get the pics a smaller size. sorry
the flock cost me $5.00 from a riders. (if you had to purchase every thing all at once to do this project i would say it would cost some where around $15.00)

Nerdy
I agree with you on that one but all of my grass hex's were in use at the time.

Hawk14
I did do that for one of my practice one's, but the figs would not stand on it level.

Robopesant
A good dark wash will make it look alot older(dont wash cardbord, it makes a mess) i will post some pics of the advanced version latter tonight so you can see what i mean.

Hawk14
cut marks? the plug caps are hollow so i dont think that would work. but the moss is a great idea i will have to give that a try on my next batch.

Taelord
Thaanks and good luck this is a very simple project.

Maby instead of cutting it you could rub it against your driveway so it has a more crumbled look.

Rub it against my driveway? Did you seriously just say that?

If you rub it against concrete it wont look so perfect and new.

i mixed up some very fine gravel, sand and white glue to give the grave a "fresh" look. should be done soon.

It's simple, and you already have a photobucket account which makes it simpler. When you click on a picture in photobucket it should enlarge the picture to take up most of the screen, then on the top there are a bunch on buttone, zoom, resize, rotate, etc. The one you want is resize. When you click it a drop down menu will appear with different sizes. Simply click "message board" and it will fit very well in these forums. :D

When I do a grave yard I just put two single ( or one double) Hex road/castle pieces in line, (Flat side to flat side) and put a battlement on one end as a tomb stone.
