Theres no point hiding if youre gonna quote pms. check your pms man before jumping the gun, I dont know what this stuff is worth anymore and you didnt actually submit an offer. And that price included shipping, they were wave 1 and other glyphs with cards. And again, if someone else is cheaper, than go there. I dont keep tabs on prices.

If you had instead explained what they were actually worth and gave your offer instead of scoffing and laughing, then maybe you would have gotten a more gracious reply.

I'm getting out of the hobby, and have had several good sales here in the last few months, not trying to rip anyone off, would just rather unload my stuff here than ebay, but I dont know now..

Hey all, I'm looking for a Tundra set.

I already have a set of Dzu-Teh and some 2-hex snow tiles. So if you have a partial set you want to turn into PayPal money, that's cool. So I'm really interested in the big glaciers and the ice tiles.

Normally, the purchase is set up and tracked through them, but they don't really have anything to do with it beyond that. You send funds directly to the user in question, and they send you stuff directly. BGG just provides the online meeting place and the marketplace rating tracking, so you know how reliable the sellers and buyers are. The system also keeps track of the commissions that you owe BGG for the sales you've made, and you send them a payment for that whenever you get around to it, I think. As a buyer, the only reason you need an account is because the seller is using BGG to track the sales and give them a cut.

Hey guys. My dad and I started playing Heroscape about 3 years ago, (I got my first master set as a Christmas present in 2007) but we really haven't gotten into buying lots of expansions until the last year and a half or so.

Anyway, at this point, we just want to complete our collection, but we are missing some sets that we never picked up when they were new, and that haven't been re released since. We would be willing to pay money or trade for other Heroscape (Explained below).

Nerak and the Swog are the same sculpt. Since the Swog is hard to come by, Nerak can be used instead. That's what I'd do.

There is going to be such a PHYSICAL barrier of entry for all the new players. Granted, as time goes on, there won't be any new players because they will not have an opportunity to be exposed to the game, but that is it's own problem too.

This wasn't a QQ, Heroscape is gone post, just... Seeing everyone looking for the same 5 things is a little disheartening.

And these guys probably haven't even seen the flag bearers yet... :?

Oh we newbies have seen the flagbearers and we cry knowing that if we want them we will have to pay out the yahoo for them. The only thing that kind of ticks me off about paying those prices (I only want Jandar truly) is that I'm paying those prices for a game that I just want to play with friends, not in tournaments to win NEW product since there won't be any. I've paid crazy prices for a few Heroclix figures (Black Lanterns, E2 superman) but I just can't get myself to pay a huge amount for one figure or a squad of figures. I will have the Jandar Flagbearer, eventually, but probably not for a few years down the road unless I get lucky. I'de rather build up my kyrie army and my knights and a ulgar army for them to fight...

Same situation here. Made my own TJ and TT. :) We've seen the flagbearers and had our heads handed to us at tournaments by the likes of Laglor, Q9, Braxas, Gladiatrons/Blastatrons.

Someone, somewhere (i.e. a suit working at Wotc or Hasbro) who is a true fan and not just a gainful employee, must know exactly which factory in China produced these figures and had them painted. If they did would it truly be that hard to approach them and say,

I reckon so, yeah, china can afford cheaper labour. They are hand painted at speed admittedly and washed too. If you look at several pieces closely that are the same you can see how they all differ. No machine could spray paint in this manner of detail. (I have actually seen similar stuff production line painted too)

Absolutely they are hand painted. You'd be talking about literally millions of dollars to design, build and perfect machines to paint so many different figures.

Someone, somewhere (i.e. a suit working at Wotc or Hasbro) who is a true fan and not just a gainful employee, must know exactly which factory in China produced these figures and had them painted. If they did would it truly be that hard to approach them and say,

"Nee How (Hi!) 1 Special order of 1000 x wave 4 please, easy on the heroes but can I have a triple helping of the aubriens please, yeah that's to go thanks!"

Absolutely they are hand painted. You'd be talking about literally millions of dollars to design, build and perfect machines to paint so many different figures.

We were discussing this in another thread (http://www.heroscapers.com/community/showthread.php?t=34390). There is even a picture of a painting "line". If you think about the work that goes into painting these minis... It is just, insane really...

Having worked in the injection molded plastics industry as a design engineer, I can say that the molds are most definitely sitting on a shelf somewhere in China. The molds would probably have been bought and paid for by Hasbro/WOTC. It is possible, but unlikely that the molding house paid for the molds with a guarantee for a certain amount of production. It is unlikely due to the high cost of building production quality molds and the low cost (cheap labor, cheap plastic-no matter what people say about cost of oil going up, plastic is insanely cheap) of actually running the molds.

That said, Hasbro owns the molds which prevents the Chinese company from using them for other customers. I suppose an unscrupulous company might try it, but only an unscrupulous AND stupid company would risk losing a customer like Hasbro.

Hi,

I'm a new Heroscaper who started after the cancellation. To make things worse I live in Belgium.

I just bought a Nilfheim and Braxas online, but I want to add the entire Raknar's Vision set to my collection. I found a deal online which would put me at $175 for the entire set (including customs and shipping), and then I would still have to sell the two dragons I already own.

To avoid that, I was wondering if someone here is willing to sell the three figures I'm looking for. Considering my other option is worth $175, it would be very profitable for me if I could buy the three of them for, let's say, $40, what seems to be quite a reasonable price on eBay auctions for them.

I don't know if anyone's interested in selling their duplicates of those figures to me, but something tells me that this might be a win-win situation?

So please reply to this post if you're happy to help a brand new 'Scaper out. Thanks in advance.

I am looking for someone to provide custom Heroscape cards, if I provided the character stats. I can pay $$ or trade 'Scape.

Some of the customs that I would like are just tweaks to existing Heroscape cards .. but I also have some ideas for customs/repaints .. I'm just not good with Gimp/Photoshop.

My thought would be:

$2.50 for simple tweaks to existing Heroscape cards ... like changing the unit's Cost or adding some additional text

$5.00 for custom Heroscape cards (including repaints) ... I provide the stats, and a photo of the repaint/figure. You provide the card .. I already have the figure.


I have about 10 existing cards that I would like to tweak right now.

That's about $75 value ~ which is what I figure the NIB Jungle set is worth.

You provide the cards image file.
