UPDATE - Sold Xbox 360. Still have Star Wars RPG but I'm thinking I'll probably just keep that stuff (it's all getting pretty rare now, especially the KOTOR book).

I have extras of every pack in the D1 Wave for sale or trade. :) Selling NIB packs for $10.00 each. Not looking to sell a pack here and there, really, I would prefer to sell a batch at once if possible.

I know things are expensive on ebay, but it's hard to watch this trade thread and see what things are going for outside the crazy ebay markets.

Oh no, you didn't offend me. I just think it's a bit much to hope on that people will want to sell you hard-to-find stuff for super cheap. It generally doesn't make a lot of sense.

One solution for you could be to offer a bunch more stuff that isn't Heroscape to help you fill out your trade offers and stuff. Just an idea.

Got my stuff from DaddyScaper yesterday. Extremely understanding and very patient while I figured out another trade. Everything was packaged well, and even though I said he could open the booster to reduce package size, he sent the booster sealed anyways! Hey all, I have Acolarh and I'm looking for a home for him. I'd really like a crapload of Stingers. Anyone game? US only, preferably Midwest but I can't really be too picky, can I?

I've got the dice bag, and I've got the coveted green dice. Hell, I even have this new-fangled card to go with it! If only someone had a bunch of Stingers...

Sorry for not responding to everyone individually, but 8 PMs is a hell of a lot. Everyone wants me to describe "A Crapload". Five squads is a crapload, as was illustrated to me since 5 people offered it.

So that's what I've got more or less. It's not exact. I've lost a few things here and there, not that much, glyphs, turn markers, things like that. And I've done some custom stuff, both units and terrain. Most, but not all, of the units are in "fishing tackle" boxes with accompanying bags and most, but again not all, cards are in one form or another of protective vinyl--I tried a couple of different varieties. Most of the terrain is in portable plastic file boxes. So that's about what I got.

I'll see if I can get some pictures posted in the Gallery if I can figure out how to do that.

I'd like to get rid of it all in one fell swoop. It's all boxed and I'd prefer to not un-box it. I don't want any trades, cash only. (Although I'd take a Leigh FMT Pro Mortise and Tenon Jig as partial payment if anyone's got one to trade. Any Vancouver Canucks out there, eh? Anyone work for Leigh?) Purchaser--if any--pays shipping.

I'm not in any particular rush nor do I need to sell. So I'm not giving it away. I would like to recoup my expense.

I'll just pop in to offer up my normal advice - patience will get those prices cut or get you low prices on things that people will then trade you so you can get those things you've missed.

I haven't paid above MSRP for anything, and plenty of that was bought after the initial release (or a second print run or more) had run out.

2-3x Gladiatrons

I've heard great things about Nexus Ops.

Well I bought two squads of Gladiatrons from Auggie's Games last week for 19.99 each. That gives me a total of three of them and I can stop now and just hope for a reprint to fulfill my desire for the other seven squads that I want. This week the ebay auction that I was watching for one squad went for $30+. I'd say right now that barring finding some collecting dust on a store shelf or someone in the trade thread getting out of the game and wanting to pass on the figs at MSRP that watching Auggie's list of what he currently has in stock is your best bet for "cheap" Gladiatrons.

Nexus Ops is a great game in my opinion. Though I own two copies and most of the time set up a third ring to the board so that the money for each player is greater and the more expensive figs can be bought more often.

Or you could acquire them via large collections being sold off on (gasp!) eBay, too. Frequently they'll be much cheaper as part of a larger set or collection. In those cases, it's like an extra bonus. Here's a couple going on right now over there, for those who are interested:

Just some suggestions. People also sometimes overlook their friends who play, who may not need 4x or 5x squads of Gladiatrons, either.

Good luck regardless of the source, finding those figures. Maybe WotC will figure out who important back-stock is to this game and start getting more pro-active with re-releases so that new players aren't turned off by the cost of getting a full set of the game.

Hey, had an exceptionally good trade with Sonlen4MVP. The guy literally FedEx'ed his stuff to me. Card was sanwiched in a cardboard holder, but even that was in a plastic sleeve. Figs were individually wrapped.

I would really like to get my hands on some Tundra and Volcarren terrain. I don't mind paying for it (I don't have anything to trade, just getting into Heroscape), but the prices on ebay are just outrageous. Are they really worth almost $100 for the lava/snow packs?

Well, they do really add a lot to the map, although I don't have any "official" lava terrain...I customized some of the regular terrain into lava terrain and it turned out really cool! Get some red spray paint and paint some grass red, then lightly brush some gray over the top. After that I took the black coal colored sand that is used for model train sets and glued it over top of the gray paint. It turned out really sweet! On the molten lava, I painted water tiles red, then brushed on some orange and yellow blotches, then coated it with a glossy topcoat. Maybe I'll post some pics one day...

Behold, my custom made lava...made by a custom building neophyte (complete with Granite stand-ins). This was a lot easier to do than I thought it would be and I was really happy with how it turned out! 8)

For the red paint I used the high end spray paint sold at Walmart that claims it is specifically for plastic. It's called Krylon Fusion or something like that. It was about $4.50 per bottle as opposed to the cheap stuff, which was about $1.50 per bottle. So far the paint seems to be really resistant to chipping.

After I painted the yellow and orange splotches on the molten lava, I coated it with a gloss clear coat. This also seems to resist scratching and chipping pretty well. Make sure that you let it cure for a long time. I had let the molten lava cure for about a week, then threw them into a sandwich bag and two of them stuck together a little and I had to go back and do a little touch up after I pulled them apart.

Another thing I learned is that I got the paint on the sides too thick, so the fit is pretty tight, especially on the molten lava pieces. If you look closely at the pictures, you can see a little blue showing through on one of the side surfaces of the molten lava where a little red chipped off in the groove. I'm working on a second batch now, so when I painted the base coat, I was careful to put most of the paint on top, and just a light coating on the sides.

The black coal/sand stuff I got on clearance at a craft store, Michael's, I think it was. It was $1 for a sandwich bag sized bag. Apply white glue to the surface of the tiles and drop the black sand on. After the glue dries, prepare a mixture of water and white glue, about 50/50, and pour it over the sand. This helps lock any loose pieces of sand into place. Afterwards I coated with gloss acrylic sealer, thinking it would look like shiny like obsidian. Instead it just looked unnatural, so I hit it with a matte finish clear coat which was perfect.

Like I said, it was really not too difficult. I'm not that great at painting the fine detail stuff (pretty good at painting walls :roll:) and I was afraid that the little flame splotches on the molten lava would look stupid, but they actually turned out pretty nice. Hopefully this will inspire more people!

I can't remember the name of the glue I used, it was some craft glue sort of similar to rubber cement, not just white glue. The glue I used is more intended for crafts and scrapbook stuff (it was my wife's glue, so if you really want to know what it's called, I can find out). I applied it to the surface with a little sponge and then jammed the piece into the black sand. Afterwards I coated with the gloss, thinking it would look like shiny like obsidian. Instead it just looked unnatural, so I hit it with a matte finish clear coat which was perfect.

Mojo - Get Paypal verified, man. Paypal doesn't protect sellers from chargebacks if you're not, and some people may not want to sell stuff to you if there's no address on file. Me, I'm an opportunist, so I didn't mind! :lol:

I hear the guy who got the "Congrats you won, pay tonight!" message asked some questions and then HS101 went dark on him.

Unfortunately that's the same experience I had with Heroscaper101 but in reverse. He offered to buy some stuff then disappeared with no responses.

I'd play it careful in dealing with him in that regard. He seemed like a decent-enough fellow based on our few communications but he disappeared with no further replies.

I can't recommend him here (sorry I didn't post this sooner, I hadn't realized who this was until just today).

Yes I did start to work out a trade with whitefang but got tied up for a couple of days it was working out to be a couple hundred dollar deal. By the time I got back on he had already pm ed that the stuff was gone. My apologies to whitefang if I would have traded that stuff would be listed also. I was also working a deal with superfly TNT at the same time but that was only around a 20 trade. This post is for real and I need to off my scape to survive and I'm offering this set to the community first.

Honestly, SuperflyTNT, I'm not sure what to believe anymore as he was looking to buy stuff from me just a week ago and then stopped responding. It seems odd that if you're in desperate need of money, that you'd be in the market to buy game stuff.

Something's fishy here. Sorry Doug, the red flags are up. I'd avoid trading or buying from this person until we can get a better feeling for his honesty and so forth. :(

Maybe he was looking to buy stuff then all the sudden, out if the blue, he loses his job so he stops responding. Maybe he was going to get back with you when he gets another job, or some financial stability. You could be right, it could just be a story.
:( It is just sad how it is hard to trust people these days when a lot of them are completely honest.:(

I too see both sides here. I'm around here alot just lay low. The reason is the first time I tried to trade here I was trying to get more drones and the other party got offended. So the accual reason i'm selling my hobby I really don't want posted all over these boards. Let's just say I need a lawyer for my family. Ebay is being annoyingly stupid about these - it keeps taking mine down whining that it's a violation yet it allows several others to stay up - and the kicker is that I basically took all their careful wording to avoid copyright issues and what-not and used them in my post just to be safe.

So either eBay is being stupid and not managing these rules across the board or it's just a broken automated system.

Either way I'm annoyed. They are worth a buttload IF you can find a seller. D'oh!

Is it legal to sell beta keys? Just curious...

If it's like worded like WoW's system, you are not supposed to sell them - they are only for the specific person unless otherwise stated (Was in the Beta for Wrath of the Lich King, due to being a moderator on worldofwar.net at one time).

However, I don't see any real harm coming from it, since whoever is paying for it will probably be playing it like crazy. I just don't understand how one person got multiple entries.

Through my industry connections I acquired one Beta key....then I attended FFG's recent StarCraft board game event. If you attended it, you got a free key - I brought a friend who didn't want his key, so now I have two. ;)

Also, these are generic keys, not specifically assigned to any individual, thus it's entirely legal (just wanted to clarify). I'm not sure I want to sell them so I may end up having some online contests to give these away, eventually.

Newish titles are always nice :D Now, the kicker: these sets are too big and too heavy to ship reasonably. So, you have to pick them up. I am in the San Francisco Bay area, Walnut Creek-Concord-Martinez area.

Actually they're not too big to ship reasonably at all. I've shipped multiple sets before, as many at that, at about a $15 cost to ship them all. Simply use the US Post Office Parcel post...no worries there. Good luck. ;)

Hi I just started playing Heroscape last week after I picked up a Master set 2 for cheap locally. I'm really interested in it and would like to pick up more as there aren't many different figures that come with the swarm set. Everyone I talk to says that my first purchase should be master set 1 but I can't seem to find it anywhere for less then 100 bucks (Out of print I guess).

In short I came here to see if any one had a master set 1 they were willing to part with I don't have anything to trade as I only have master set 2 but I would gladly pay cash for it.

One hundred bucks!! Check out eBay. A used Rise of the Valkyrie (Master Set 1) can be had for ~$35 or $40 even if you're feeling impatient. And everyone is right - tons of terrain, great figures, all the dice & order markers you will ever need.

If you just want the figures and not necessarily the terrain, then there should be dozens of people in this forum thread that bought multiple master sets for terrain and are willing to part with extra unique figures for cheap. I'm considering selling some of my spare terrain to a couple of guys here who are looking to start into the game.

What's a good asking price (individually and as a group) so that it's fair for both. I don't beliving in gouging but don't want to rip myself off in the process.

-All complete with cards, figures, etc-
2x ROTV Master Sets
2x FOTA Castle Sets
2x Volcarran Wasteland
2x RTTFF
2x Complete Zombie Packs

(This would still leave me with a significant amount of terrain)

RotV $30-$40 (although they are starting to get a little harder to find)
FotA $15-$20 (you can find it on line for under $15 in some sites and more than $20 on others)
VW this is a little harder, Ebay is $40-$50 (sometimes higher), but among friends, well that is up to you.
RttFF around $20
Zombies ?

BTW, those are US$. I don't keep up on the exchange rate to know what it would be in C$
