FotA on clearance at my local Wal-Mart

I hit Wal-Mart early tis morning and noticed that not only is RotV on clearance for $20, FotA was on clearance for $12. They are doing the Modular reset in the Toys Department.

I've hit six Wally Worlds in my area. All still have RotV at the regular price, some have Wave 5, some have Wave 6, one has Wave 4, no Marvel, no sales. :x

The nearest Walmart has craptacular management. They have never had anything Heroscape on clearance. Not even when they had 15 packs of Gladiators and Agents. On the bright side, today they didn't have any Gladiators and Agents. Hopefully they will restock boosters and at least put out something non-wave 5. I'd be happy to see any of them. I could use more of boosters from any wave but 5 (and maybe 1).

I saw them on clearance for $18 at a wal-mart over here in phoenix. The mastersets were still regular price. No modular reset was being started either.

At the nearest Wal-mart by me, they moved the master sets over by the bikes, which is a bit of a distance from the board game section. They're still at regular price though. The only Heroscape in the board game section is a set of wave 7. Battleship took the master set slot.

Hey Cav, aren't you in the Phoenix area? If two of you in the Phoenix area are seeing WalMarts with Heroscape on clearance then it might be everywhere in Phoenix.

My two youngest brothers live in Phoenix. I'll tell them to go out and buy some. One has a son that plays...the other is interested it getting some for himself.

In other news: my local Walmart has wave 5 expansions at $7. I'm keeping my eyes open for RotV going to the clearance shelf. Two of them are first edition and I suspect one of them of having sparkly water.

I checked my walmart this weekend and they had one fortress set on clearance for whole 1.96 off the listed price. they have tons of wave 5 at 9ish bucks. they have a hoard of master sets but they are not on clearance. :cry: Oh well i'll keep hoping.

Long story short- I have 3 more.

One East TN Wal-mart has expansions for $7 (picked up another set of Greeks & Vipers). Another has FotA for $20. No movement on the RotV sets yet, which makes me think we still have some time before the swarm of the Swarm hits our largest retailer.

I live in the middle of nowhere Oklahoma and within 20 minutes drive of 3 Wal-marts and each of them has the ROTV on clearance from anywhere between $15-$20 and the castle set for $10-12. All boosters have been marked down to $7 unfortunately it is all wave 6 (which we have had in abundance here for the last 8 months). They had a few RTTFF but someone that looked alot like me picked them all up for $7.00.
It's weird too. Like I said, we live in the middle of nowhere but we got Marvel Heroscape a day or two after it was sighted elsewhere and prior to wave 7, we had gotten all waves within a week of them being announced as shipping. Wave 7 has yet to show up on our doorstep though and I'm getting antsy.

I went to my local WM and they still had 3 of the EOV Sets that they must have dug out of a closet somewhere as they were not there before the END of Summer/ beginning of Christmas RESET that taes place in the toy Dept. SO in addition to the 4 beat up ROTV sets they now have 3 EOV versions and wave 6 packs Zombies and Orc/Ghost and two wave 5 packs of the set that has the Agents in it. I don't think they will ever get SOTM

I just picked up to castle sets in the Walmart clearance aisle for $8 each! It almost makes up for the fact that they've never had any expansions past Wave 5. I'm in central NY by the way.

I wish Walmart would have consistent clearnace prices. Frustrating to hear that the 'clearance price' of $19 each for the two castle sets I picked up the other day, wasn't close to the great deal I thought I was getting.

If the local TRU ever puts them on super clearance, I'm coming home with 10 more.

In similar walmart discount news, Columbu Ohio, West side Walmart has/had zombies for 9 a pack. I bought two. Now they have one pack left.

About 3 months ago they had most things from wave 5 on sale for like 7. I almost bought some then, but hadn't decided to play this game yet...

For you who are finding these things "on clearance" - are you finding them on endcaps in the toy department, or in a separate clearance area, sometimes within the toys, sometimes a short distance away?

The WM I usually shop at has a large toy clearance aisle but it's out there with the kitchen stuff. Weird. No Heroscape on clearance though. I might have to check another WM or two.

I haven't seen FotA anywhere but TRU for a long time.

I've seen it a couple of ways. They've had a giant sign hanging above the aisle that says clearance and it was a mishmash of stuff from every department. Then, there is the clearance aisle of just toys kinda hidden except for the fact that it is a mess like you couldn't believe. But, as a frequent Walmart hopper as there are four within a short distance, it generally comes down to just one maybe two with a clearance section at any one time. Same with kmarts which seem to have gotten rid of heroscape all together.
